I will have a booth in the 1st Edwardsville Book Festival on Sept. 7 from 9 am – 4 pm in the park by the library (Edwardsville City Park) 101 S. Buchanan St.

This will be a day of fun, including other local authors & booksellers, crafts for sale, published author panel discussions, fun activities for kids, musical entertainment, and food & drink.

Come and hear Jennifer Ward, Sela Carsen, and other authors with the Missouri Romance Writers of America, members of the St. Louis Writers Guild, and local writers groups.

These discussions will interest both avid readers and aspiring writers. Topics include writing for children, mixing genres, writing for yourself and not the market, selling locally, and information about local writing groups.

Everyone is welcome – we’d love for you to drop by while you’re enjoying the rest of the book festival!

Todd Allen Smith has been shot twice in his life.

The first shooting took place during a robbery in Delaware in 1997. The second time was during the Kirkwood City Council shooting in 2008, where six people were killed, while he was working as a reporter.

I will be an author panelist for the St. Louis Publishers Association: Author Successes and Failures program on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in The Argus Room at the Richmond Heights Community Center at 8001 Dale Ave., St. Louis, MO, 63117.
